How To Revise
The technique you use to revise is very individual. After 4/5 years
of
medical school most students have strategies that they know work
reasonably well. Until I look through some proper literature on the
psychology of learning here are some tips that I have picked up:
-
Don't panic! This is very counterproductive as you can not do any
useful work shilst shivering with dread and adrenaline. Almost
everybody has panic attacks from time to time as they approach their
exams, when you fret that you've wasted all your time or that you don't
know enough. One of the reasons is that it is hard to audit how much
you know, and you can easily fool yourself in to thinking you don't
know anything.
